Kindergarten
is a child's first step into the outside world. Children get the
opportunity to interact with other children, form their own little
playgroups, and explore the world outside their homes. Pre-schools
should, thus, offer an environment in which children feel safe
and secure, and learn to adapt to new environment, new people
and new friends.
At P R Toddlers (PRT), we strive to make learning fun, focusing
on developing the child's intellectual curiosity. We have many
innovative teaching techniques and we use interesting educational
aids, most of them prepared in-house by our creative team of teachers.
We run the following sections in our Academy:
- Nursery
- Junior KG
- Senior KG

Puppet Shows
Puppets have succeeded in focusing the children's attention on
the topic. Children are quickly drawn into the play and take an
active part, identifying with the scenario, and absorbing essential
information while having fun. Lessons on the environment (Keep
your city clean avoid using plastic bags), good manners and community
living are taught through puppet shows and skits.
Clay Moulding
Children develop good motor skills and hand eye co-ordination
by working with clay.
Story Telling Sessions
Every month children are taught valuable lessons through story-telling
sessions
Skits
Children are trained and encouraged to come on stage and perform.
This enhances their communication skills and gives them self confidence.
These are effective tools in teaching important lessons to young
children.
Demonstrations and learning by doing
- We encourage conceptual learning by letting children experiment
with different tools and techniques to understand the different
concepts. For e.g. Children learn "wet and dry" concept
by experimenting with a sponge and a bowl of water.
- We teach children to differentiate colours by holding special
days in school such as "The Red Day". All children
dress in red. Associations are made with different red colour
objects and red colour fruits.
- Vegetables and fruits are taught by bringing different vegetable
and fruits into the class. Children, also, have a fruit-salad
day in school.
- Picture word matching, sound discrimination of words, word
games, and pattern drawing are some of the classroom learning
activities
Cognitive Development
- Solving puzzles and mazes
- Projects on transportation, plants, wild animals, homes, plants
and seasonal vegetables and fruits.
Our children participate in dancing, singing, school picnic,
annual sports, fancy dress competition, reading and recitation
competition.
All there activities encourage children to express themselves
in visual ways.

- In Pre-school children are too young to be put through the
stress of examinations and assessments. Yet, measuring the child's
progress is necessary to evaluate and modify the developmental
needs. We hold healthy competitions for the children aimed at
measuring their learning growth.
- We award them with well-done cards to make them feel special.

grows beautiful flowers,
A good farmer grows bountiful grains,
&
A good school nurtures intelligent minds"
